Bernie and Hillary are both sending a strong message of opposition to right-wing extremists.

I’m happy to see both Democrats adopting a strong agenda for moving this country away from the failed policies of the Republican Party. You all may know which candidate I support, but I want to say this loud and clear, either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders will be so much better for the 99% in this country than any Republican. For all of Bill Clinton’s massive failures and betrayals during the 1990s, his Supreme Court nominees still hold the right-wingers at bay.
I would love to see neoliberalism vanquished and extirpated from the Democratic Party in 2016. I would love to see the Democratic Party rediscover its social democratic roots in 2016. But whether he wins or loses, Bernie Sanders has shown us all what the Democratic Party will look like in 8 years and for the next 30 years.
What we need to do now is what Bernie said tonight, focus on “an issues-oriented campaign” that speaks to the American people. What we need to do now is what Hillary said tonight, “take this campaign to the entire country” and “fight for real solutions, that make a real difference in people’s lives.”
Come November, we will all have a choice between a chance to “create an economy that works for everyone, not just the one percent” and the failed policies that are destroying our planet and ruining the lives of billions of people around the world. We can’t afford to let other people make the wrong choice.
So whether you support Bernie or Hillary, remember that they both agree that either of them will be better than any right-wing conservative extremist in the Republican race.
Hillary will vote for Bernie in November if she loses the primary. Bernie will vote for Hillary if he loses. We must follow their lead.
